Reviewing a payment draft
Check a prepared payment, change what you need, and confirm it in a simulation that never sends money.
This guide describes the demonstration on this site, which uses sample data.
Two payments to review
Both payments are for invoice INV-0412 from Halden Supply Co. One is request REQ-2051 in the product demo, ready for your confirmation. The other is the draft BeFinance Agent prepares when you choose Prepare a payment for my review.
What to check
Compare the payment with its invoice before you confirm. In the sample data:
- Payee
- Halden Supply Co., whose details are already on file.
- Amount
- $4,280.00, the invoice amount.
- Payment date
- Oct 30, 2026, before the invoice is due on Oct 31, 2026.
- Pay from
- Operating account ending in 4410.
- Invoice
- INV-0412, matched to purchase order PO-1187.
Confirm it in the product demo
Open REQ-2051 from Requests, or choose Review beside Confirm the supplier payment on Overview.
Check each detail under Payment details.
Select the checkbox I’ve reviewed the payee, amount, and payment date. You can’t confirm until you do.
Select Confirm payment (demo). The result reads Demo complete. No payment was sent.
Select Start over to clear the simulation.
Until you start over or reset the demo, REQ-2051 shows the status Simulation · Not sent everywhere in the product demo.
Edit the agent’s draft
In the agent demo, choose Prepare a payment for my review.
In Payment draft, change the Amount if you need to, pick a Payment date up to the invoice’s due date, and check the Reference.
If the amount no longer matches the invoice, the draft says so under the field.
Select the review checkbox, then Confirm payment (demo). The result is marked Simulation · Not sent and lists What you confirmed.
Select Start over to bring the draft back.
What confirming does here
Confirming is where these simulations end. No payment is created, scheduled, or sent, and no money moves.
The agent’s draft, the request in the product demo, and the payment you can try on the Clarity and control page are separate examples, so confirming one doesn’t change the others.
