Following up on outstanding items
Draft a follow-up for a missing or unreadable document, check it, and discard it. Drafts are never sent.
This guide describes the demonstration on this site, which uses sample data.
What’s outstanding in the sample data
The vendor onboarding request REQ-2049 from Larkfield Studio has five documents. Two are verified and three are outstanding: the proof of business address (Needs a clearer copy), the authorized signatory form (Not received), and the bank confirmation letter (Checking details).
Only the first two need something from you. The bank confirmation letter is still being checked, so there’s nothing to do yet.
Draft a follow-up in the product demo
Open REQ-2049 from Requests. Its Next step lists the two documents that need a follow-up.
Select Request a clearer copy for the proof of business address, or Remind to sign for the signatory form.
Read the draft: who it’s to, its subject, and its message. It’s marked Draft · Not sent.
Select Discard draft if you no longer need it.
You can draft the same follow-ups on the Verifications page. A draft made on one page also shows on the other until you reload the page or select Reset demo.
Let BeFinance Agent prepare them
In the agent demo, choose Review the outstanding items in this request.
Review the Outstanding items checklist: every document of REQ-2049, with a suggested next step for each outstanding one.
Select Draft follow-ups. The agent prepares one draft for each document that needs a follow-up.
Select Discard drafts to remove them.
Nothing is ever sent
A draft shows what a follow-up would say, so you can check the wording before anything happens. In this demo, nothing happens next: there’s no way to send a draft.
